Transplanted from Indiana to California compliments of the Air Force, Jim stayed in California. After obtaining a degree in Business Administration, he worked in construction working his way up to management of a large construction & development company. This opportunity allowed Jim to obtain his own General Contractors License.
Seeking more knowledge and experience, Jim entered the Title Insurance industry. After a short time working the geographical title plant he was promoted to Title & Corporate officer. After a number of years, an offer from a local bank was presented. Now, as a corporate banking officer, Jim was involved in all aspects of personal and business lending. This afforded Jim an opportunity to become knowledgeable in subdivisions, development & real estate ventures. Soon he began to develop and sell his own homes. About the same time, Jim obtained his California real estate brokers license. With a General Contractors and Real Estate Brokers license, banking, escrow & title insurance background, Jim opened his own company.
In the beginning of 1979, Jim opened his own company and joined the National Association of Realtors. Between two different terms as President of his local association , Jim was awarded the non-repeating honor of “REALTOR OF THE YEAR”. During the following years, Jim served on the Boards of Directors and President of the following organizations:
Grover Beach Chamber of Commerce
Pismo Coast Association of REALTORSÒ
South County Economic Development Association
Community service included several years on the Parks and Recreation Commission serving as Chairman & served on the City’s Planning Commission.
After many years of public service and managing his own company, a change was needed. Jim was ready to leave management to others and dive head on into active listings, sales & exchanges. Working as Associate Broker, Jim quickly became a top multi-million dollar producer.
In 2003 Jim obtained his Arizona Brokers license. During the middle of 2004 the transition began to make the move to Lake Havasu City. Jim & wife Dona were convinced about the importance of real estate investments and home ownership in Lake Havasu. At the end of summer of 2004, they made the final and permanent move to their new home in Lake Havasu.
